WhereGotHot Drinks?

And when we say 'hot' we mean it literally! You can find this flaming hot drink at a freezing cold bar- the Eski Bar. The bar's been around for a while now, but if you haven't tried the Waterfall, head over there now for a sip or two of fun. It's on the street behind Boat Quay. Is that Circular Road?

WhereGotHot ...Grass?

With a name like Graze, it sounds like this new restaurant's menu might only list types of grass but hopefully that's not true as the setting sounds irresistible: An old colonial home not far from Holland V, surrounded by lots of lawn (keep an eye out for cows) .

Graze is an offspring of OPIA in Hong Kong, winner of the South China Morning Post's "Restaurant of the Year Award" last year . Its owners want to encourage us to eat slowly, ordering small plates throughout a long, relaxed meal. King prawns, grilled sea scallops, chocolate pudding lava cake... with a bar upstairs and a shop, (not to mention rumours of an outdoor movie screen) it sounds like we could hang around there all day.

Call 6775-9000 to make a reservation.

WhereGotHot TV Adventurers?

Well, not in Singapore yet. But I'm telling you about this now, so that you can buy tickets before they all disappear. On April 17th, you can go to an event featuring Ian Wright, the Globe Trekker face of Discovery Travel & Living. He'll be in town as part of the World Gourmet Summit, no doubt talking about all the crazy things he's had to eat over the years. Save up your $168 for a chance to meet him in person.

WhereGotHot Fashion Shows?

Singapore! Finally, we can all put our passports away and still see what's coming up in the fashion scene thanks to Singapore's Fashion Festival 2006. Catch Diane von Furstenberg's show or keep an eye out around town for London model Lily Cole.

WhereGotHot Feet?

OK, when I first saw the pics at this site, I thought, "Why would anyone need this? It's like sandals with no bottoms." Seemed almost as dopey as that trend a few years ago where shoes had no backs. After looking through the pics, though, I started to imagine women at beaches all over the world wearing these and paying big money for them. Seeing as it's sort of like a necklace, but for your foot, check out what I'll call the 'footlace'. http://www.ritzyconcept.com/

WhereGotHot Cheese?

Fondue. Have you had it lately? It seems like more fondue sets are creeping into grocery stores, creating enticing displays when the rest of us aren't looking. I almost bought a cheap one, but then saw this nice one going cheap and couldn't resist. Can you?

WhereGot Lots of Hot Stars?

Inside Man is getting great early reviews, so we decided to see it ourselves. Our verdict is: Really good!

It's hard to go wrong with Jodie Foster, Denzel Washington and Clive Owen. Click here if you haven't heard about it yet. http://www.insideman.net/index.php. It's Screenwriter Russell Gewirtz's first script, and it's really well done. What's going on if it isn't a bank robbery? Who's really involved? Are the hostages all innocent? These are the questions that I kept thinking about throughout the whole film- which is probably exactly what Mr. Gewirtz wanted. It's definitely the kind of movie that you can see more than once.

WhereGotHot Today?

The hottest thing I've come across today is a link to this new bar, The Butter Factory at www.butterfactory.com. I'll be checking it out tonight. Anyone been there and can tell me about it? It's down in Robertson Quay.
